Homemade Goodness

The bf was on a roll, apparantly, and in his genius state managed to make these for me:

#1 Homemade Niddy Noddy
(Wooden ones retail for, what, anywhere between $20 and up?)
This one: $2. Plans were found here. It stores flat and when I need to use it, I simply twist one end so that it's at an angle.

More homemade goodness to come (once I get the pics up) Patience little grasshoppers, patience.

Next show: #2 Homemade goodness: The Yarn Ball Winder
Cost: umm, the bf didn't have to go out and buy anything for this, because he has lots of random "stuff" out in the garage. "Stuff" that we would normally refer to as "junk"...I have been humbled and no longer have the authority to randomly throw out said "stuff".

Next show: #3 Homemade goodness: The Skein Winder / Swift...whatever you call it. Again, the bf was his genius self and had most of this stuff lying out in the garage, except for a quick trip to Lowe's, spending approx $3 or $4.

I'll get it all posted this weekend!

Oh, and here are some little kitty toys I made for a co-worker. They are filled with catnip. The lone mousey in the back was a test run of a pattern, but the cable ones were actually easier for me. Pattern found here. Another co-worker saw these and immediately wanted some as well, and he's bringing fresh catnip from his garden. Then another co-worker saw them and wanted some but first wanted to wait and see how long they lasted.

I used some scrap Wool-Ease (leftover from Golf Club Covers.) Some quilters batting or whatever it's called, that white fluffy stuff, and catnip.
