Feverishly Quilting
I started my first quilt yesterday evening (talk about a wild hair). I didn't have a plan and I was basically just winging it. I pulled out the rotary cutter, the clear ruler thingy, and starting cutting fabric. I didn't really measure and I paid no heed to color coordination. I almost quit a few times...maneuvering the whole quilt around my sewing machine was...interesting. And getting jabbed a hundred times by those little pins was not fun. It was a total rush job: I finished the quilt today before lunch. There was some bunching that I didn't know how to avoid, but overall, I like it. It's my new couch blanket...for when it gets cold and I'm too lazy to go upstairs and get a sweater.

It's great! I'm a big fan of quilts.
I want to learn to quilt eventually but right now I can barely find the time to knit. I probably need to get a good sewing class first since I have absolutely no sewing skills.
